Buying Nursery Toys from John Lewis

Ordering from John Lewis: Shipping and Delivery Times/Postage and Packaging Costs

You have three different delivery and cost options to choose from when ordering from the site:

Standard and Specialist Delivery

This usually takes 5 working days to be delivered. However, if the product description on the site shows that delivery will be within 14 days, you will be called to discuss delivery times.

Standard delivery costs £3.95 but orders over £150 qualify for free delivery.

Next Working Day Delivery

If you want your toy to be delivered the following day, you must place your order before 3pm on a working day. No deliveries take place at weekends or on public holidays.

Next Working Day Delivery costs £6.95.

Named Day Delivery

If you opt for Named Day Delivery, you can choose the delivery date of your choice from the selection offered on the site. They will not deliver at weekends and public holidays.

Named Day Delivery costs £6.95.

Delivery times are between 9am and 6pm. The products in one order may be sent from different locations so they may arrive separately, but no additional charge is made if this happens.

If you order items which have 5 and 14 day quoted dispatch times, the order will be brought together so that everything will arrive in one package within 14 days.

Refunds and Returns Policy

If you make an error when ordering online, you can cancel your order by telephoning the customer services team.

Returns must be made within 28 days with the item in its original undamaged packaging. Software cannot be returned if the seal has been. However this does not affect your rights as a consumer regarding faulty goods. For more details, visit their website.

They will happily refund you for any item that is returned in a re-saleable condition. However, if this is not the case, then they reserve the right to deduct up to 20% from the refunded amount.

Other Points

• If you want to have items sent to different addresses, then you need to fill out separate orders for each address. You will also have to pay separate delivery charges for each address except when the order is for £150 or more.
• They can't guarantee that your order will be delivered within normal delivery timescales if it is being delivered to remote rural areas.
