Tiny Love Symphony in Motion Musical Mobile

Tiny Love designed the “Symphony in Motion Musical Mobile” after research was published which indicated that listening to classical music can encourage the development of certain facets of a baby's emotional and intellectual development.

The “Symphony in Motion Musical Mobile” plays a choice of classical music from Bach, Beethoven or Mozart for around 15-20 minutes.

The mobile offers baby four different types of movement from the giraffe, elephant and horse to swirling umbrellas with hanging dangly balls and rolling beads.

The “Symphony in Motion Mobile” can come with or without a remote control that has a really useful handle to hang it outside the bedroom door.

It is suitable for use from birth to around five months of age.

Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium

The Fisher Price “Ocean Wonders Aquarium” baby toy will give baby a gentle journey to sleep. The Ocean Wonders Aquarium allows baby to see gentle bubbles, swimming fish and soft lights.

Baby's hearing skills are very good so it also allows baby to hear gentle ocean sounds, calming music and bubbling streams.

Baby can also see toys – a smiling clam comes to life when the roller ball is tapped and the starfish will spin around when baby hits the appropriate lever. And baby can press the shell button to start the lights and sounds

The “Ocean Wonders Aquarium” does need 4 D batteries so make sure you have them handy near your baby's room.

The “Ocean Wonders Aquarium” has three settings:

• The first allows music, lights, bubbles and swimming fish
• The second setting allows music and lights
• The third setting allows music only – three songs for night time will play for around 10 minutes. Perfect if you don't want baby to get too interactive with the “Ocean Wonders Aquarium” before bedtime.

Chicco Mamma Lullaby Nightlight

The “Mamma Lullaby Nightlight” from Chicco plays baby beautiful music and has an integral nightlight to softly lull baby to sleep. It attaches to the side of the cot.

The Chicco “Mamma Lullaby Nightlight” offers baby a gentle light show accompanied by a choice of gentle nature sounds, new age music or classical music. So if mummy and daddy are having trouble sleeping use it too!

And if mummy or daddy don't want to go to baby, they can record their own voice to gently quieten baby in the evening.

It is suitable to use with a newborn. The Chicco “Mamma Lullaby Nightlight” uses 3 AA batteries so make sure you have some spare in the nursery.

Manhattan Toy - Infant Stim Mobile

Manhattan Toy produces this award winning developmental mobile – the “Infant Stim Mobile” for babies. It's different from traditional mobiles because it doesn't play music but instead encourages baby's visual senses.

It fits most cots and changing tables. The “Infant Stim Mobile” comes with 2 sets of cards – one set has simple black and white designs for new babies and the other is designed for babies older than three months and features more abstract vividly coloured pictures in blue, red and yellow.

Tiny Love designed the “Symphony in Motion:Shapes” mobile on research published that indicates that listening to classical music can encourage the development of certain emotional and intellectual responses in babies.

The “Symphony in Motion Shapes Mobile” uses the idea that baby is interested in contrasting vibrant colours - black, white, yellow, red and blue. Revolving above baby are square, circular and triangular shapes that will hold baby's attention. Following the Shapes will help to strengthen baby's eye muscles and encourage baby to further develop their spatial awareness skills.

The musical mobile plays around 15 minutes of classical melodies from Bach, Beethoven and Mozart.

Once baby reaches five or six months, the mobile can be removed from the cot but the music box can remain for baby to learn to use. Once baby starts to switch the music on and off they develop their fine motor skills and learn to understand about cause and effect.

Beatrix Potter Cot Mobile

Newborn babies will be able to listen to soothing lullabies from the “Beatrix Potter Cot Mobile”. This wind-up musical mobile has five soft toys from the Peter Rabbit range dangling from its arms.
