Brands of Baby Toys - Lego

Not many people know that the name LEGO comes from the Danish words ‘Leg Godt'. Leg Godt means “play well”.

Lego wants to make sure the child in all of us is happy and that we're able to express ourselves in creative play no matter how old we are. Lego believes that the child in us should be able to learn and interact; explore and discover; imagine and express.

To help us do this, Lego designs and produces toys that encourage us to learn, create and use our imaginations.

Within Lego is the Lego Learning Institute which researches areas of child development and examines the relationship between creativity, learning and play. Lego has spent time examining the nature of play. Lego uses this knowledge to develop toys that are applicable for all ages of childhood in order to make sure children have valued learning experiences.

Types of Lego

Lego Duplo bricks are bricks designed for two to five year olds. The range includes Duplo Castle, Duplo train and Duplo plane.

Lego Quatro has been introduced by Lego for babies from a year to three years. The bricks are eight times larger than the standard Duplo brick. Quatro is made of a softer plastic and is easy for little hands to play with.

Babies can use the bricks to build towers or shapes, vehicles and wacky creatures all from your baby's imagination.
