Galt – Playnests, Play-Gyms and Crawl Mats

Galt makes a range of play nests, play-gyms and crawl mats. Here are some of the Galt playnests, play gyms and crawl mats that you can buy online.

Galt - Crawl MatGalt Play mat

The “Crawl Mat” baby toy is a vividly coloured, comfortable play-mat with activities that will encourage baby to crawl across the mat.

Babies start to indicate they are ready to move around or after five months but some babies are crawling well away at five months while others wait until seven or eight months before crawling. All babies are different, so judge the timing of buying a toy to help baby crawl on your own baby's development.

With “Crawl Mat”, baby can press the colourful animals' mouths to hear five different animal sounds. When baby reaches the last animal on the mat, he is rewarded with a tuneful rendition of “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” and flashing lights on the happy sun.

The “Crawl Mat" comes in a PVC bag with a carry handle. Available to buy online

Galt - Play Nests and Play Gyms

The difference between a playnest and a play gym is that the play nest is made from a fabric covered inflatable ring. Play gyms are generally made from a flat cushioned textured fabric and have cross bars over the top that have hanging objects baby can learn to kick and play with.

Galt - Playnest

The “Playnest” offers baby a multi-sensory experience combining a soft, cushioned rest area with a contained play area. The play nest is a fabric- covered inflatable ring that helps to cushion baby while he plays and learns.

The Galt “Playnest” includes areas of interest to baby that stimulate the early senses like touch, hearing and vision. Baby can see different patterns, feel different textures and hear different sounds.

Galt also provides a development guide for you to read so you can better understand the kind of activities that you and baby can play together. The “Playnest” has a quilted cushion centre to keep baby comfortable.

Galt - Peter Rabbit Playnest

The “Peter Rabbit Playnest” baby toy is a beautifully textured and coloured baby centre covered in images of Peter Rabbit, the well known Beatrix Potter character. The “Peter Rabbit Playnest” has five different activities for baby to explore.

Galt - Playnest and Gym

The “Playnest and Gym” offers newborn babies and older a comfortable play nest to snuggle up in combined with a creative play gym. The inflatable fabric-covered playnest is designed with farm scenes, while the play gym acts as the colourful sky.

The five hanging toys can be rearranged above to intrigue baby from day to day. They are all different to offer baby varying patterns, colours and shapes.

Moving the hanging toys within baby's field of vision will encourage a young baby to start looking at the world above.

Newborn babies tend to look to one side at birth – usually the right side - and take a few weeks before they start looking at objects above. Mummy and Daddy can gently shake a rattle or play soft music to a young baby to encourage them to think about moving their head.
